Our center is dedicated to creating a healthy, strong and long lasting relationship between you and your canine companion. We strive to build trust and understanding between two very different members of the animal world – human and dog. This can only be achieved when you start to learn how your dog sees the world around him and where you fit into that world, and most importantly how to teach him what he needs to know to fit into your world. Armed with this knowledge, you and your dog can enter into many rewarding activies suited to your team.

The following are the classes we currently offer:

Puppy and MeFor puppies 8 weeks to 16 weeks. Teaches owner awareness of the stages of development of the young dog, socializing, confidence, and of course lots of playtime. Covers basic house manners including house breaking, how to meet and great human and dog friends, chewing, how to avoid separation anxiety issues, etc.

Basic Obedience for the Family PetFor dogs 16 weeks and older. Covers the basics including sit, lie down, heeling, stay and most importantly a reliable recall or come.

Obedience for Competitors and RallyCovers more advanced obedience education. Prepares the team for competitive obedience and/or Rally meets.

Cross Training FoundationsThis is a required class for all beginning agility and competitive obedience classes. Will develop skills needed to prepare you and your dog to enter the world of agility and or competitive obedience. A useful class for all disciplines of dog competition.

Therapy DogA certified Therapy Dog Instructor will teach you and your dog how to become a healing influence to the sick, old, or infirm. It is a proven fact that animals have a very positive effect on people – raising spirits and releasing beneficial endorphins in the brain. Certification as a Therapy Dog will be awarded by the instructor when the dog and handler pass the certification test.

Beginning AgilityIntroduces you and your dog to the agility obstacles and progresses to handling your dog through a course.

Beginning HerdingIntroduction to stock and begin fundamentals of herding. Will work on the skills needed for the AKC Herding Tests and A Course. This course has an additional $10.00 stock fee per class.

All courses are 8 weeks long and must be paid for in advance. Courses designated as ‘ongoing’ on the class list must also be paid in advance in 8 week increments. Each 8 week class cost is $120.

Tina Duree-Bevan
Tina Duree-Bevan has been a professional horse trainer for 30 years, and has been very involved with dog sports for nearly a decade. She has competed in herding and agility with her kennel of Border Collies and finds her dog sports to be similar to, but a refreshing change from, training horses.

As Tina has developed her dog facilities for her private use, she has ‘drawn a crowd’ of friends and acquaintances interested in a dog training location in Chino Hills. She’s decided to open Silver Rose Ranch K-9 Training Center to meet the demand for a professional training facility with top instructors in the area. Tina will be teaching Puppy and Me, Beginning Herding, and Basic Obedience for the Family Pet classes and looks forward to building a first-class facility for dogs and their people.
