Again, ranch life has kept me away from updating both the webpage and the calendar. In an attempt to help keep things a little more current (at least we hope so!), we have set up a wall on facebook. So please feel free to seek us out and become a fan.
We're trying to mix things up a bit here on the dog side of the ranch and are adding a new class or two to the roster. Check out the calendar and look for our new Obedience II class, which will be a foundations class for both agility and Ralley.
Our trip to Alaska to help with the start of the Iditarod was incredible. We've got lots of pictures and I'm working on editing the video. Far too much for me to post here, so next time you see us be sure and ask us about the trip!
On the horse side of the ranch we are starting up a bunch of new programs for the summer. They include the "Lease a horse for summer" program, along with our new "Ranch Days" program. The lease a horse is aimed at filling the free time that the kids have during the summer and give them plenty of riding opportunities to become better riders. The Ranch Days program is aimed at ages 3 -10 where the kids can come an enjoy new opportunites with our ranch animals. Whether that's being around the horses or helping with the sheep or checking out the giant tortoises up in turtle town, it is gauranteed to be fun! Ranch days occur every saturday from 1 - 3 pm and cost $25.00 per child per session.
We'll also be offering our summer horse camps which have been quite successful over the last 10 years.
If you have any questions on the above mentioned programs, would like info on dog training or boarding, or just want to say hello, please call us at 909 364 9191.
We hope you are having a great spring!

Well, what can I say, ranch life pulled me in another direction and I didn't get to the calendar like I had hoped. It is done now though. So please go check it out. We have some new classes starting and several old ones continuing. Please note that our basic obedience classes and our foundation classes for both agility and rally are set as 8 week classes. Our beginning agility, beginning rally, and intermediate rally classes are ongoing. However since the dates for the later classes, may fluctuate over the course of the year, I only have them listed for the first quarter of the year.
In order to sign up for any of the ongoing classes (Beginning Rally, Intermediate Rally, and Beginning Agility) you must have a chat with Tina first.
Now that we are done with the mundane stuff, let's send a big shout out to some folks:
- Dawn and Lexi have gotten their first AKC leg in Novice Rally
- Hannah and Rocket have completed their first title in Rally Novice "A"
SO next time you see Dawn, Lexi, Hannah and Rocket make sure you give them a "way to go"!
Finally, we hope that everyone has a safe and sane holiday season. Whatever you celebrate, we at the Silver Rose hope you find yourselves amongst loved ones and enjoying the warmth of the hearth and lots of good food and company.
